Go back into the device manager and right click your modem
and then click uninstall. Now go into the control
panel\network connections and delete your internet
connection. Now shut down the computer and reboot. Windows
should now recognize and install your modem.Go into the
control panel and set up the network connection account
like it was the first time. I hope you have a copy of your
settings or have them written down, from your ISP. Once
you have a connection go to the manufacturers site for the
modem and get the latest XP drivers for your model. Good
luck.
