xp theme

i just spent a number of hours getting rid of Trojan.desktophijack.B and
Trojan.popuper, and now i cant get my windows xp theme off of "windows
classic." i can select the theme but when i go to "windows and buttons" all
that is available is "windows classic style." how do i fix this? i find it
ironic that i can manually clean a registry but changing themes is beyond me.
