Hi all,

Creating XP sysprep image. All documentation that I have found says after
creating a user account and configuring how you want it. To then log
out of that account and log into the Administrators account. Then
copy that profile to the Default User profile? OK,
What Default User profile? There is a Folder in
C:\Documents and Settings called "All Users", is this what they are talking
about
or do they mean to create a folder called "Default User"?

I wish they were clearer on this.

thanks
Gerry

Default User is a hidden folder by default. Microsoft's instructions should tell you to remove the check box for "hidding operating system files" first. To do this go into Explorer...Tools...FolderOptions...View and select "Show hidden files and folders". Do that and you will see Default User in Documents and Settings.

Thanks
Gerry

Hello Gerry,
Actually this should not be done. There are issues with doing that, you
should not be overwriting profiles with other profiles.
This will negatively affect the new profiles on the machine.
