I downloaded and installed Service Pack 1 the other night
from Windows Update. When I restarted my PC, my task bar
had switched to Classic Style and XP style is no longer
an option under "windows and buttons" in the Display
menu. Is this is a problem with Service Pack 1 or could
it be something else? Can anybody help with this?

Thanks

I tried that and had no luck. That only allows me to
change the way the start menu appears. To change the look
of my windows and buttons, I would have to go into
Control Panel/Appearance and Themes/Display and make the
change under the windows and buttons pulldown under the
Appearance tab. The option to change to Windows XP style
isn't there anymore. The only option is Windows Classic
style. Am I missing something?

Is the Themes service disabled? Administrative Tools> Services> Themes. If
this is set to manual or disabled, try changing the startup type to
automatic.
