XP SP2

Since downloading SP2 things are not the same. Server,
earthlink, stays connected but will load pages only for
about 10 minutes then ALL links become "page not found."
I have disabled all earthlink and sp2 firewall and popup
blockers. Earthlink says ask MS and MS says ask you.

Do you have Earthlink software installed? If yes, remove the software,
create a native connection for Earthlink and try access without the
Earthlink software.

Let me guess - you have NIS2004 installed?

If so, that is the problem!
 
A tech from Earthlink had me put an init string in the modem that made it
connect at a lower speed. Haven't heard if that was helpful yet or not. By
NIS2004 do you mean Norton Antivirus 2004?
 
Also to note, I originally had the dial up connection set up without the
software, and it did the same thing. I thought installing the software
might have been a remedy, and it wasn't.

Then how do you explain it works NIS 2004 works fine on the computer I
have it installed?
 
NIS2004 has been causing widespread probs since it came out. They are slowly
fixing the probs though.
