This is not really Microsoft's fault...since MS is just
closing a particular security hole resulting in more or less
dysfunctionality of all these software.

I think most people be will be affected by at least one program - leaves to
hope that patches will be out by October 16 when SP2 is supposed to be
officially released to WindowsUpdate.

I do wonder, my MS Office97 Pro is not listed - Now, does this mean it will
work or is it just not listed since it is too old? :-(

Well, I have Office 97 running perfectly well so far on SP2.

Means that the behavior that was exhibited in the past is no more. Think
of it as a work in progress. :-)
