XP SP2 seems to have delayed Outlook 2003

I'm running Outlook 2003 (corporate environment with Exchange Server 2003,
and all updates) on Windows XP Professional. I recently installed XP SP2.
No problems except for these ... when I send a message the Outbox shows the
message "hanging" there but it's not really. All I have to do is click on
another Outlook item and the Outbox will go back to empty. So, it's not
delaying sending the message, but I guess it's not refreshing the Outlook
interface properly. More of a nuisance than anything else. The other
problem is that receiving messages seems to be delayed. I have a Blackberry
that is connected to the Exchange server, and I'll get a new message on my
Blackberry about 5-10 seconds before it shows up in Outlook.

I tried removing XP SP2 and these problems went away. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Turn off the XP firewall in the Services control panel applet.

I just added outlook.exe to the exceptions list for Windows Firewall. That
seems to have fixed the problem. And it beats turning off the firewall all
together. Thanks.
