Here's the situation. Like everyone else I downloaded and installed SP2 on
my computer. But in my arrogance, i didn't bother to read the warning of
installing it(didn't check for spyware). Needless to say my computer is now
dead. When i turn on the computer it doesn't boot, beep, or anything. First
let me tell you the specs.

Homebuilt
Supermicro PIII SCA motherboard
P3 600mhz, 384MB Ram
ATI radeon video card
40GB hard drive

It seems that i can't boot from the cd-rom so whenever i reinstall XP I
always work from a floppy boot disk. I've made the boot disk from W98 for
cd-rom support and to perform maintenance on the hard drive, plus i've made
the 6 floppy boot disk from Microsoft to install XP directly instead of an
upgrade. Since the upgrade, the computer won't even boot from the floppy
disk. At at my wits end, and now stuck using my wife's computer. :-(

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

If you can not boot from floppy or CD, something other than a Service
Pack is the cause.
Check you BIOS for recognition of both.
Check and set the boot order so floppy and CDROM are before hard
drive.
