xp software issue

I have XP home edition on another computer which is connected wireless thru
this computer and cannot view any web pages, says page cannot be displayed.
The wireless connection is good, I have gone in the cmd screen and can ping
web addresses successfully, ipconfig is good, did a dna flush-- good, I can
access aim and receive e-mail on the computer but cannot access any web
pages,what is up with this? I thought it might the the new explorer 7 I
installed about a month ago,I know there are some issues with this,
uninstalled explorer 7,went back to explorer 6,same problem! HELP!!

Do you have a Firewall on that Computer try to enable the Internet on it.
Also try to Repair the winsock it may damaged by Malwares (try to scan for
malware if you didn't do that).
Download the winsock fixer from here:
You try repairing it manually by doing this:
Open run type in: netsh winsock reset click [OK] and reboot
