XP slow and not responding

Xp hangs almost every time I open a program. I am using
Panda ti. 2004 antivirus and windows was working fine
untill I renued my virus protection. is there any non-
compatability issues with Panda.
I usually have to restart to get it to work as sys mgr
does not even respond.

Hi,
check your computer for spyware.
these pesky programs do something like starting applications when they are not supposed to.
go to www.lavasoftusa.com and download ad aware 6.0 and then scan and clean your computer for the spyware.
Always keep the firewall on, enable ur antivirus scanner and keep it upto date along with your windows updates.
use msconfig to check if there are unwanted programs at start up. Having too many programs in start up slows down your pc.

I do not have any suggestions for the slow performance,
but I have been using Panda Titanium for a long while,
and I have not found any problems or compatibility issues.

I can only echo what folk are saying already, same set up
as yourself incl Panda - have run Adaware and CW shredder
and Reg Mechanic, but performance is still not what it was
(I even reinstalled XP) - hoping that Longhorn will be
faster.
