XP shutting down

While defragging on my hard drive, the computer will shut
down without warning. I does this in "safe mode" as
well. MS web sit does not detect sasser

Check your Event Viewer for messages.

This sounds like a heat or ventilation issue.

Check the fans on your system. Are they all working? Do they all have airflow
/ are the filters clean?

Open up the case and check for good airflow inside. Remove dust inside.
