XP shutdown

Hi all, don't usually post, but this has me stumped. Got a client on a Sony
Viao LT, It refuses to shut down automatically. it just restarts. It will
shut down if you push the off button for a while. I have been through just
about every driver, registry setting etc etc. I am obviously missing
something, any help appreciated. Oh! It does have Norton.... So anything IS
possible.Thanks

You are seeing some variation on 'restart on error' during shutdown. This
