Have a computer with windows XP. When you shut down the computer it restarts.
Can't seem to find the problem.

What could be the problem and how do I correct it??

Hi, Dennis.

Start with MVP Jim Eshelman's page on this kind of problem:

WINDOWS XP SHUTDOWN & RESTART TROUBLESHOOTING
http://aumha.org/win5/a/shtdwnxp.php

If you don't find your answer there, post back with more details: make and
model of computer, has it always done this or did it just start; how long
after shutdown before it restarts; does it seem to start at a certain time;
is it on a network or LAN...??

For the heck of it. Use msconfig, startup, and disable your startups.
See if it still happens. If not, then add the startups one or two at a
time to see if any of them are causing the problem.
