Hi,
I currently have a problem with the XP setup. After
booting from the CD successfully I go to create a
partition on the hard drive and 9 times out of 10 te setup
fails. It fails to create a partition with both NTFS and
FAT32 partitions. I can however create an NTFS partition
when I put the hard drive in my second xp home pc. If a
partition does successfully create I either get an NTLDR
error. I tried FIXBOOT and FIXMBR to solve this problem. I
am struggling to see what the problem is at the moment. I
can install linux without any problems, it is just the XP
setup. Sometimes when it gets past preparig the install
and has 39 minutes remaining an error message says that
certain CAB files and windows trusted signatures are
missing. I have been trying for weeks to get a successful
install now but with no luck. Any help on this would be
greatly appreciated :D thanks everyone

I would beleave that it is the XP install cd you are using if you have no trouble with installing linux.
