XP setup problems

I keep getting "Setup cannot copy the file:
manyfilenames.dll. This is happening when loading and I
have tried several CD rom drives. The disk is brand new,
but I still get this error. If I skip it it might find
more, but It will never finish setup.

I had these same issues. My system is 100% brand new, no

cheap stuff. Turns out,I think so far, the 2nd
motherboard has a bad #1 RAM slot. I moved my ram stick
to the second slot - loaded with no apparent problems so
far.

I was experiencing the same problem. After much time, I
discovered that one of my RAM chips is bad. Replaced the
bad chip and everything is running as expected.
