xp services

I just installed windows xp from cd and i am not getting a ip address which
led me to look at my services. All the services except 3 or 4 of that that
should start automatically are not. Any reason why they are not especially
since its a clean install.

Use Start - Run - SERVICES.MSC and see how these services are
configured. You can also start the ones that should be running but
aren't.
