Hello All,

Can any one please tell me from where i can
download windowsXP service pack 2.

I heared that winXP Service pack 2 was released but
i did not find it on microsoft site. I will be very thank
full to you all if tell me the url.

Windows XP SP2 is not yet available for download. No official time has yet
been set as far as I know

Windows XP SP2 Release Candidate 1 will be made available to customers through a new TechNet portal beginning Friday, March 19.

According to BetaNews.com.

PLEASE understand this is BETA!!! If you have no issues that SP2 is known to correct, and you don't want to risk having to do a
complete clean reinstall of the OS, and possible loss of data, then don't install it.

I however will be! <VBG> I live for problems.

The average Joe doesn't know what BETA means nor would they even care to
look up what it means.

No there isn't. All that's available is "prototype" code which can kill
your XP with just a few mouse clicks. Trust me, SP2 is BETA.
 
Yes, there is a link and no need to trust you, Ed.... as your findings are
not the norm, nor true.

subscribers.

Please explain in detail "...can kill your XP with just a few mouse
clicks."
Exactly what mouse clicks and how does this differ from any other
Service Packs.
We already know SP2 is Beta so there is nothing to trust.

Beta is essentially a work in progress and thus totally unsupported
however the description you gave does not mesh with reality.

Because it is Beta it is not for everyone and any source not
legitimately from Microsoft should be avoided.
Illegal sources of software have been known making their own additions
to the software they steal.
Perhaps your experience is based on stolen modified code.

Ed, if you were involved with the beta program(s), you would have a better
light to share. Without being so, your words are meaningless in this
area/arena. Thus, being only be your opinion, not fact.

You can't, because it is not released except to registered testers, and,
in a version now out of date, to subscribers to MSDN or Technet. There
have been leaks of one of these early versions: I would *not* advise
anyone to put *any* Beta on a production machine, let alone an out of
date one.

Another month or two at a guess for it to be available.

It will be available as long as you are a TechNet subscriber, do not think
this is a general public download.
