How long does it take for SP2 to download via Automatic
Windows Updates? I have had my computer connected to DSL
24x7 for the last several days, and SP2 still hasn't
finished downloading. After it downloads, I will install
it.

How much longer will this take, another week? Month?
Year????

Please let me know if anyone knows anything.

Hopefully before the 25th. That's when SP2 is going to be available via AU
for XP Pro users!!

Im getting same problem,I have the globe in taskbar but

it's been stuck on 0% for a couple days
 
For your faster download capabilities, I cannot say; but
with my dial-up connection (not constantly online) I have
a folder in C:\Windows named SoftwareDistribution that
was created on 8/10/2004. The contents have been
increasing gradually. It is now up to 25 files, 8
folders, Size 3.15 MB, Size on disc 3.18 MB. I'm just
furnishing this as insight to what is going on with some
of us. You might want to look for a folder, as described
above.
 
I will know it is done when I see the little windows icon
on the lower right corner, right? Then it is time to do
the installation? I think right now it is just
downloading itself.

I purposely set up my Windows Update preferences to alert
me of everyting instead of doing it all automatically.
