Does anyone know if XP SP 2 will be included in the Windows Automatic
Updates that's downloaded onto my computer?

Thank you,
Tiffany

Tiffany;
Because SP2 will be a Critical Update, it will be automatically
downloaded if Automatic Updates is on.
However you will be prompted to install and reboot.

It will ask you if you prefer 'express' or 'custom' update. 'Express' will
install SP2 (200MB?), 'custom' will let you choose. At least that's how it
worked until yesterday. Probably you'll have to install SP2 when it will be
out in final version.

Thank you for your reply. What I'm trying to get at is if I have my
computer set to automatically install downloaded updates without
asking, will it treat SP2 this way? I don't want my PC to
automatically install SP2 as soon as it's available but neither do I
want to turn off my automatic install unless absolutely necessary.

For the time being, as long as it connects at :v4.windowsupdate.com, it will
not download SP2. SP2 is on v5.windowsupdate.com
However, this might change soon, so better update manually.

Tiffany;
It will download but not install.
If you do not want it to download, you need to turn of Automatic
Update.
