XP security updates

I have just cleared over 5000 infected files from my
computer and updated my anti virus. The one thing I have
not done is update my windows security since I purchased
the computer.
Living out in the country I do not have Broadband, does
anyone know if these updates are available on CD and if
so where can I get it, I am trying to avoid spending 24
hours on the internet!

You can get the updates through Microsoft on CD for free (up to October 2003
anyway) - however it might be faster to try and get a friend to get the
updates for you and burn them to CD and/or see if a computer store might
have gotten this cd:

Well, at least in Germany this service doesn't work, but maybe for your country

P.S. Before Y2K there were update-cds available in some pc magazines. Maybe you wanna try to find one this time as well.

Hi

It looks like the service works for Germany now.

Selecting Germany here
http://www.microsoft.com/security/protect/cd/order.asp

takes me to
http://www.microsoft.com/germany/ms/security/sicherheits-cd.mspx
where I get an order form to fill in
