XP Security Error / Unable to Log-In

What can I do? I receive the following message and cannot get logged into
windows..."Security Accounts Manager. Initialization failed because of the
following error: The handle is invalid. Error Status: Oxc0000008. Please
check OK to shutdown this system and reboot into Safe Mode, check the event
log for more detailed information."

What did the event log say?

Logon to "Administrator" with the password you set when you installed.
If you don't know, try a blank password.

In Home Edition, boot to safe mode. In Pro, press Ctl-Alt-Del twice and
logon from there.
