XP Script errors blocking IE Access

Help Please...
Running Xp OS syst with IE 6.0 .
All access to the web is giving me the following error message.
This is also on my notepad web designs even though they have not been
uploaded
"An error has occured in the script on this page.
Line: 1
Char: 2
Error: Object doesnt support this property or method.
Code: 0
URL: file://C:\windows\htwtb.bin
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
YES NO"
Can anyone out there help?
I have tried to debug all that achieved was a change in the error message
to
"Run time error has occurred!"
Convinced that this was caused by download that was interupted or "script"
problem.
Any help will be invaluable as my assignment is already overdue.

IE Script error
Go to Tools, then select Internet Options
Then select ADVANCED
Under Browsing - uncheck "Display Notification about every script error"

Disable the Script Debugger in IE (Line 142)
