I think I might have a spyware program or something? I
ran Adaware and Norton Antivirus but it turned up
nothing. My machines take an extremely long time to boot
and I can only run a couple of small programs before I
run out of Virtual Memory (PF in Task Manager is hitting
the max, 1.2G).

Any suggestions? If not I plan to re-image my hard
drive, not something I am looking forward to!

Hi

Have a look at the following article:

What do you mean by "long time to boot"? How long?

How much RAM memory?

Have you installed any "memory boosters"? Are you allowing Windows to manage virtual memory?

How large is your hard disk ( or partition ) where your pagefile.sys file is located and how much free space?

Do you have a firewall installed? When you say you ran Adaware and Norton Anti-virus was this with the latest definitions installed?

Have you looked in Event Viewer for error reports?

Hope this helps.
