XP Restore and software installation on XP

I have set up XP with 3 admin accounts and 2 users.
I have the main admin account assigned to myself.

In this account I now have problems.
The account does not want to run System Restore
(but I can still run system restore from the other two admin accounts)
The account does not want to install several pieces of software.
(but I can install them from the other admin account, but then in some cases
I then can not use the software in my own account. For instance a nafty
little program that manages the memory of my PC.)

Does anybody have any idea what might be the problem and how I can solve it?

Hi,

First of all I would strongly suggest getting rid any memory managing
utilities and let Windows manage memory. Once that is done I would
suggest scanning the system for infection.
