Hi,

The WinXP SP2 always restarts when it trying to connect to any mapped
network drives or shares. It's very strange!
I have updated it with all fixes and KB's but I find that could be a
hardware error. I've updated all drivers too.
I didnt find any references for the error showed in the blue screen:

STOP 0x0000008E (0xC0000005,0x8054A832,0xB8307B88,0x00000000)

Does anyone has any suggestion?

thanks in advance!

Many of these errors involve Windows Server 2003 -see link
for some where solution are recorded:

What errors are being recorded in Event Viewer. These might
narrow down the possible causes. You are interested in Warning
and Error Reports in the System and Application logs in the
minutes leading up to and immediately after the Stop Error
message appears. Please post copies.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Administrative Tools,
Event Viewer. When researching the meaning of the error, information
regarding Event ID, Source and Description are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Double click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. This will paste the info from the Event Viewer Error Report
complete with links into the message. Make sure this is the first paste
after exiting from Event Viewer.

Hope this helps.
