XP repair installation crashing with a blue screen

I just started getting a blue screen out of nowhere on my
computer yesterday. It says IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and
then freezes, forcing me to restart. I tried to start it
up in Safe Mode and with the last good configuration, but
all end up at the same blue screen before XP can
startup.

I have my repair install CD, and tried to do that as
well. I have tried both running the repair from the
Recovery Console, and by doing a Windows Setup with a
repair. As soon as I specify the location of the
previous installation or it finds the previous
installation, the same blue screen appears. So I can't
do anything with my system at all.

I have some very important recent files that have not
been backed up because they are only a couple days old.
Any suggestions?
