Something (probably a driver) is dying when told to shutdown, and you
have ;restart on failure' selected in my computer, properties, advanced,
startup & recovery. Un-tick this box and you'll be able to tell us the
error message, which'll give a clue as to what piece of software is
failing to shut down nicely.

Or it could be a hardware issue, such as a PS unit going south :-)

I doubt it - hardware is usually more random than that, and if it
always/only happens when the machine it told to shutdown, then 95%+
certainty it is a dud driver. There are even a couple of favourites
which are responsible for ~50% of all such crashes. 8>.
