xp programs button

all of a sudden when I click on start and go to and go to all programs
nothing is there, I checked through windows explorer, program files and
everything is still there but they are not showing up in all programs. how do
I get them back.

Try the registry fix titled "Undo" from the following site:

154. Disable Shut Down Per User Remove "All Programs" from Start
Menu - Undo

That's a group policy setting that will restore the "All Programs" item to
the start menu. I think what this guy means is that the items inside it are
gone. It may be that another group policy setting is set to not allow the
"Common" program items from the all programs in the start menu. These are
usually located in Documents and Settings\All Users...
