You will have to do a clean install. The copy of Home you bought - OEM, Full
or Upgrade - should be able to do it. If it is the Upgrade version you *may*
need to have your old Windows 98 or Windows 95 CD-ROM around for
'verification' at some point during the installation routine.
Start your computer and hit Del [ or whatever key it is for your computer ]
to go into the BIOS.
Set the BIOS to boot from the CD-ROM first. Put the WInXP Home ed. in the
CD-ROM and reboot the computer. If you see an option to hit any key to boot
from the CD-ROM then hit a key on the keyboard, say the 'G' key, and the
installation routine will start. Make the appropriate choices.
