What is with this spate of parents whose kids fook with their
systems either vindictively or by accident? Don't you parents
have any kind of mutual trust and respect with your kids?

You should learn one /really/ big lesson here - /ANY/ user
accounts Mom and Dad want to use separately or jointly and the
real Administrator account should /all/ have a /good/ PW on it
such that a kid can't easily guess it. Iffn ya ain't got none,
it shouldn't really surprise you that an enterprising, curious
kid would put one on. Then, when confronted, they might just get
excited and guilty and the PW slips right out of both ears.

Moral: prevention is preferable to cure.

Simply log in using the built-in Administrator account and reset
the password of the desired account(s).

By design, the only way to log into the Administrator account of
WinXP Home is to reboot into Safe Mode. For WinXP Pro, pressing
CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at the Welcome Screen will produce the standard login
dialog box.
