XP problem

I recently had a virus.

3 GAIN FILES STILL SHOW UP AS "THREATS" BY NORTON
ANTI-VIRUS. THEY ARE
1. C\PROGRAM FILES\ DivX\DivX Pro Codec\
gain_trickler3202a.exe
2. C\PROGRAM FILES\ DivX\DivX Pro Codec\
gain_trickler3202.exe
3. C\PROGRAM FILES\ DivX\DivX Pro Codec\ Gain_Trickler.exe

AFTER A WHILE MY CPU WENT CRAZY......I COULDN'T SHUT IT
DOWN, I COULDN'T EVEN PRESS ALT,DEL,CTRL (NOTHING WOULD
HAPPEN). ALSO I CAN'T OPEN ANY ICON INCLUDING INTERNET.(I
HAVE OPTIMUM ONLINE)..PLEASE HELP

You have a seriously infected computer I don't know why
symantic didn't delete those files but you'll have to
delete them yourself. You need to reboot, if necessary
power off. Then power up and F8 at boot up. Select Safe
Mode. At start bar \ run msconfig.exe . Select dianostic
startup Then reboot. When your up normally delete those
files. Then run virus scan, spyware removal, don't have
virus protection , get some, Don't have spyware removal
software you can get it at

Then run spybot scan, it run for a while , when its ready
then fix what it finds.
You'll also need to remove startup
registry items also , highjackthis is available free
there at http://www.net-integration.net/index.php? and
they can interpret logs of that run. Just follow there
instuctions. And get virus protection !!!!
