my computer crashed and I had the mother board replaced. When I went to
start up the computer, it had no operating system, which prior to the board
being replaced was xp professional. when I start up it takes me to set up
and asks for the xp disk. We did not save the key code and I dont know what
needs to be done to get past the set up. It takes me to the log in screen
and asks for the password, and states that the computer is missing file I392,
or something to that effect. I have no idea what it means. I have called a
few store ( best buy) who say I need to purchase the whole operating system
again and reinstall. Is this true or are they trying to make a sale????
