Hi Kevin,

As of this morning my computer will not let me login. As soon as I enter my password and it goes to load personal settings it reboots automatically. Can anyone help?

Can you enter in Safe Mode (pressing F8 repeatedly during boot)?
If you can do so, try to make a System Restore to before this
happened.

Good luck

Hi Roger. Yes I can get in using safe-mode but unfortunately I did a windows xp upgrade this morning as well and killed my restore points. Any suggestions

Hi Kevin,

You mentioned you did an upgrade. Did you download patches from
Windows Update?
If you did and the patches are causing this behavior, you could try to
uninstall them by going to the $NTUninstallKBxxxxxx$ folder (where
xxxxx is the number of the patch), spuninst subfolder and click on
spuninst.exe. Or the patches might be uninstalled from the Add/Remove
applet.

Another option, while in Safe mode, create a new user account and
check if you can log in normally with it, if yes, copy the settings
from the old to the new user account.

Hey Roger. No I didn't download the updates. I will try your second suggestion though. Thanks for your help. Will post if it worked tomorrow morning
