When I try booting my computer, once it goes to a screen
where it gives me a choice between booting in Safe Mode,
Last Known Settings, and Normal. I dont know anything to
do in safe mode, so I try Last Known Settings or Normal.
On both, when it proceeds to the Windows XP loading
screen (back= black, winxp logo, load bar under logo) my
computer just automatically restarts and I end up in the
boot choice menu. I tried running scandisk from a Windows
ME boot disk and it found nothing, but it somehow
finished searching a 120 GB hard drive and doing a
surface scan in under 2 seconds, so I guess something is
wrong.
