When u go ctrl+alt+de
then go processes
What is the name/s of the process maxing out the cpu?

I have the same problem, it's always around 100 .. 95 .. 90 .. 100 .

My process can't be killed, I've tried that, and I run Win XP Pro Portuguese Version, so I'll try to "translate" it .

It's called "Inactive system process" (Processo Inactivo do sistema) run by user "SYSTEM" and uses only 20 k memory, but a hell of CPU ... I can't do almost anything with my pc ..

Hi M3ta,

I have the same problem, it's always around 100 .. 95 .. 90 .. 100 ..

The inactive system process means that part of the CPU that is
inactive, so a 90% value would be a good one, meaning you are only
using 10% of the CPU.

You could try going to the Task manager and seeing which processes use
the most CPU (apart from this one) and look them up in Google or in
these pages:

Also perform a malware scan using ad-aware and spybot (both free).
Update them before the scan.

I have exact the same problem and I already did all you did but it seems like something is causing this problem beyond. Spyware, Viruses or lack of updates.
If you found the solution, because I noticed this post is old please send it to me at (e-mail address removed)

Thanks
