I need a license so I can upgrade my notebook's XP HOME to XP PRO. I already
have XP PRO full on one PC. You can upgrade XP HOME to PRO using PRO's full
install CD hence the reason why I only need a license or an upgrade license
for that matter if there is such a thing.
You can get away with running it on two PC's, one full install the other an
upgrade from HOME, it will activate and work with no hitches. I'm about to
do this for several reasons:
I hate to fork out dough prior to learning what MS is going to do with x64
PRO being I have an AMD 64 in my notebook. I refuse to pay to upgrade to PRO
and then fork out more money for x64 wasting money on the PRO upgrade.
I also have 3 XP licenses and only 2 PC's running XP:
Win XP PRO FULL (retail) on my Desktop
Win XP HOME FULL (retail) collecting dust
Win XP HOME FULL (OEM) on my notebook
If I purchase a PRO license then I will have 4 licenses and XP running on 2
PC's, not fair.
Too bad the EULA for MS's OS's wasn't like MS OFFICE PRO's where you can use
one license on one PC and one mobile device.
WHAT TO DO???
