I am hoping that someone can help me. I originally recieved XP Home for my
new laptop which I was running. I have since loaded XP Pro from the office
and I do not like it!
Am I able to start over and somehow reinstall XP Home?

Thank you for you help.

You'll have to reformat your drive, then reinstall
Windows XP Home Edition from scratch.

You cannot install WinXP Home over WinXP Pro.

The only way to change from WinXP Pro to WinXP Home is to
format the drive and start over. There is no supported downgrade path
or technique.

Simply boot from the WinXP Home installation CD. You'll be
offered the opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as
part of the installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the
order of boot devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)

Is it the different colour of the progress bar on startup you don't like?
Not sure I understand why you think they are so different?
