Please go to McAfee (http://www.mcafee.com/myapps/mfs/default.asp) and/or Trend
(http://housecall.antivirus.com ) and perform and online scan of your platform and report
back your results.

Based upon the results, we can go on from there.

Than you of your response.
It very slow computer is tested with AVG antivirus and ANTIVIR today updated
virus definition files. Is this sufficient infromation to you?
I trying use this low speed computer, but only one way get time to user
interface is stop svchost.exe from task control window. Then is 60 seconds
time to do something, before xp boot by force. this 60 second time window is
not sufficient to use web based antivirus programs.. but i try yet...

Do the following and I'll be happier...

1) Disable System Restore
http://vil.nai.com/vil/SystemHelpDocs/DisableSysRestore.htm
2) Please reboot your PC into Safe Mode
3) Using AVG perform a Full Scan of your platform and clean/delete any infectors found
4) Restart your PC and perform a "final" Full Scan of your platform
5) Re-enable System Restore, reboot the PC
6) Create a new Restore point
7) Please report back your results

Thank you of help!

1. Virus: JS LOOP.A, C:\Ohjelmatiedostot\Evrsofware 1 st Page 2000. Found
using Housecall Online Scan.

2. VBS LOVE.A signature in some temp setup file. Found using AntiVir

3. Platinum7Trial.EXE contains WIN95/Bomb virus. Maybe false detection. this
is unused virus scanner trial. file deleted. Found using ANTIVIR.

All three (maybe false) virus files are manually delteted and recyle.bin
cleared.

Final scan is no virus detects.

ANTIVIR LOG for Drive D: (Windows XP)
4484 directories were scanned
64231 files were scanned
2 warning messages were issued
0 files were deleted
0 files were repaired
0 detections

HOUSECALL RESPONSE: Housecall did not find any virus... (Drive D: XP)

Windows XP works only in safe mode (thank you to this remember!) because
svchost.exe is not loaded this time! But when booting normnally svchost gets
all time of user interface.

Thank you of help.

Pity Visual Studio Programming does not correctly save source files in XP
Safe Mode (or this is some other new problem..)

Shortly: still svchost steals all time in normal XP boot mode. And my system
is not usable normally. Can you help more please?

What can do next?

Antero

Execute; SFC /scannow /quiet

The reboot your PC.

Thank you of this idea.
SFC in safe mode mesages something: The RPC service is unavailable.
Windows normal boot mode: user interface is unavailable.

Have you anything ideas please?
