I intend to wait a while and order free SP2 CD. I'm
really leery about this download, from all the problems
I'm seeing. Are these readers using beta version, or is
the "final" out somewhere? Also, I'm reading and hearing
a lot about a "restore point." Can someone please
explain what this means and how I can do this? Many
thanks, George

George;
You can order it 25 August or later.
You can also download and burn to CD.
See #1 on this link for the options:
http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/spackins.htm

To create a Restore Point:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Choose the option "Create a Restore Point".

Yes the final version of Service Release 2 is complete. If you review the
post in this newsgroup you will find links to Microsoft and other sites
where it can be downloaded. If you desire.

However, after release of SR-2 addition work is required to configure SR-2
for the Windows Update site. When the work is done, you will find SR-2
there.

Yes SR-2 will be available on CD. However, the version on CD will be the
same as what has been released and will be available on the Windows Update
site.
