I have XP Pro on 2 machines connected to a router and I want to make a
directory shared on one that requires a password or that can only be
accessed by a specific user on the other machine, I think I did it at one
point but can't remeber how.
if possible i just want to add a user name from the other machine to the
permissions on this machine. I've tried many combinations of writing the
name wheather it's with or without the workgroup name and it keeps telling
me the user doesn't exist. It's limiting me to only users on this machine.
I have "Simple File Sharing" Unchecked under folder options and would like
to keep that the same.
