Dell Laptop with newly installed XP Pro on new hard drive
crashed after 5 months. Dell is now replacing whole unit.
How do you get XP on the new one they will be sending
without having to buy a new copy of XP Pro? Thanks!

If Dell is sending you a replacement computer, it will already
have Windows XP installed on it. If you upgraded your original
Dell computer to XP Pro, then use the same XP Pro CD to upgrade
your replacement computer. If Product Activation should fail,
simply choose the "activate by telephone" option.

Dell should have given you either an original XP CD or a restore CD,
when you bought the laptop.
