Sunday Morning, I completed a dirty install. I thought
everything was working until the Logitec cordless mouse
and keyboard stopped working. I bought a corded mouse at
Frys and thought everything was working. Then I got the
dreaded blue screen [disk not bootable or some such error]
Then, last night I completed a clean install on my 40GB
harddrive.

Symptom: XP boots into windows and then hangs in 1-2
minutes. The system is very slow.

I had one error pop up during install that said I was
miising the hal.dll file. I tried to expand the hal.dl_
file to C:\Windows\system32\hal.dll. This failed to fix
the problem. No blue scree. Any ideas beside tossing it
out the window? Is this my harddrive?
Any Ideas?
