Is there a way of changing the Icon Text Colour on the Desktop.

I've looked in the properties but have had trouble finding it.

Thanks.

As near as I can tell, you can change the Font
and Font size but not the color.

Right click the Desktop | Properties | Appearances tab |
Advanced button |
Click the V under Item to expand tne menu | Highlight: Icon |

[[Changing the look of individual items is only useful if you select Windows
Classic in the Windows and buttons list on the Appearance tab. If you select
a different option, the theme determines the appearance of your menus,
fonts, icons, and other Window elements.]]

I had a feeling it couldn't be done.

Some of the Desktop wallpaper I like to use prevents me from reading icon text very well.

Thanks anyway.

Midnight;

Right click Desktop | Properties | Appearances tab |
Effects button |
Experiment with:
Use large icons
[[Specifies whether to use large icons to represent files, folders, and
shortcuts on your desktop. On computers with low memory, using large icons
require affect performance slightly.]]
Show shadows under menus
[[Specifies whether menus cast a slight shadow. The shadows give the menus a
three-dimensional look.]]
