i have removable hard drives and would like to install xp pro on all of
them? is this a problem? or is the deal ... 1 hard drive, one copy of xp
pro?
it IS still just one computer.

You are only entitled to install one (1) copy of Windows XP
on one (1) computer, regardless of how many drives you have
installed. Each additional installation requires another license
which you'll have to purchase.

Please take a moment to read the EULA.

Go to Start > Run and type: WINVER , and hit enter.
Click on "End-User License Agreement".

thanks for the reply
this seems a really ignorant arrangement in my opinion. it shouldn't be too
hard to determine if a os system is being used on the same computer
regardless of the hard drive vs being pirated away.
i guess there's a good reason ms has the reputation it does.
