Hey guys this might be an easy one but I am having brain freeze. Two
computers, one linksys router. One computer is running XP Pro the other is
XP Home. Set up shares on both systems, but can only share the XP Home
computer. The XP Pro will see the XP Home and I can share the printer
connected to the XP Home as well as the shared folders that are set up.
XP Home computer can see the XP Pro but nothing happens when I try to
browse it. No errors just sits there. The XP Pro is on a domain, and I have
read that the XP Home can't connect to a domain but do I need to if I just
want to share printers? That is really all I need. I can go from the XP Pro
to the Home but I need to go the other way also.
When I am on the XP Home and I try to browse the workgroup computers, the
XP Pro computer shows up and when I click on it I get the login box. If I
set up a user on the XP Pro system can I log in with that? Will that give me
what I want?
Thanks, Golfbuddy
