Hi All.....

We have a Peer to Peer Network of 12 Machines, Now running XP Pro (Was 98)

Now all is well, except XP Pro will only allow 10 users per share, how do we
increase this???

98 Didnt have this

10 shares is and has been the limit for NT based Workstations (XP
is NT based). In order to have more shares you would need to have
Windows 2000 or 2003 server OS.

sorry ... I should have been more precise ...

10 users per shared resource is the limit set in the OS
 

But you weren't precise to begin with.
You mean you're prevaricating? You do it very precisely though.

As it has always, the limit of 10 concurrent inbound connections
is the same for all of Microsoft's workstation operating systems,
except WinXP Home, which is limited to 5.

If you need more than 10 concurrent connections, you'll need to
install a server OS.

Or use MS's Small Business Server 2000 or 2003.
