XP Pro network w/Win 98

So I finally figured out how to disable simple file
sharing on XP. Immediately thereafter my 98 comps on the
network demanded passwords. I tried my admin login,
logging into the 98 machine with one of my XP names and
passes, tried adding Everyone user group in permissions
and enabling full control. I really could use some help
if anyone's encountered this before.

please have a look at http://www.michna.com/kb/WxNetwork.htm.
Normally the first point is to use a username and password for
which an account exists on the XP Pro machine, as you correctly
did. But probably you'll find the cause in the above list of
possible causes.
