Several weeks ago I bagan experiencing disconnects from my
DSL provider. My email program checks very 3 minutes, but
the disconnects occur after after a period ranging from a
few minutes to 15 -20 minutes. The DSL provider does not
show any interruption of service and the connect icon in
the lower right side of the screen still appears although
only one "screen" lights up. Email times out and upon
auto refresh of webpage, can't locate server.
Have had all physical connections changed (by phone co.,
new modem istalled. Their tech support can't come up with
a reason.
I have checked settings, disabled power management
switches.
The only thing I haven't done is hook up another PC tothe
connection. Before I do that, Id like to hear if any
others have experienced this and, if so, how did you
resolve it.
My hardware is a Compaq Presario notebook, with a port
replicator.
