I fit a strange behaviour. After I installed the Windows
XP Pro on a new computer, the PC requires the Windows CD
to be in the CD drive when the PC boots.
What can be the problem? and how to fix?
Any ideas?

Your copy of XP PRO is an upgrade and therefore requires proof of an eligible

Hi Mohan,

Thank you for your quick response.
When I reboot the computer I get the following message:
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
I did a full installation according to the wizard, but
the outcome is the same.
The HD is relatively new and it passes the check when XP
is installed.
Is there something I can do to fix?

Thank you,
Alecs.

I have an original CD for New PC.

Alecs.
