XP-Pro install

when trying to install XP-Pro i get the following error.
line 16374 of .inf file is invalid
this occurs when i boot from CD.
i have tried using XP boot disks and the install fails.
i have run fdisk and formatted the drive several times with no success.
i am at a loss at this point how to continue.

Could be a flawed CD. Is it an original?
 
I have never seen this problem. I suggest you get in touch
with the regional Microsoft office.
